El mensaje de año nuevo de Garry Kasparow

Este es el mensaje que Kasparov compartió en Facebook.

2014 was a difficult year for many people and many causes. Dictators made advances against a sluggish response from the leading nations of the free world. We were reminded in no uncertain terms that evil still exists in the modern day and that it will always expand and threaten wherever it can, from Putin's police state to the terrorists of the so-called Islamic State.
The good news is that there is optimism for 2015. The oppressed are ready to rise against their oppressors. The free people of the democratic countries are coming together at last and showing the necessary resolve to combat these threats to our lives and our way of life. It is fitting that 2014 was also the end of the Tolkien saga movies, so it is now up to the "time of men" to combat the remaining forces of Mordor!
On a personal level my campaign to bring reform to the chess world by becoming the president of FIDE ended in defeat. It was a painful loss, but I would not have missed the opportunity to meet and work with so many amazing people from all over the world. My mission to develop sponsorship, education, and technology in chess will continue with the help of these new friends and allies. There can be no resolution more important for 2015 than having greater resolve!
So with just minutes to go, Greetings and Happy New Year from Croatia from me and my family! Wishing the world strength and courage to bring peace in 2015. Next year in Moscow!
